1. What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
When you call the API, we log the location string you provide and track your request count against your monthly limit. We do not log or store your IP address.
2. How we use it
- To authenticate you and deliver your API key.
- To enforce free-tier and Pro-tier request limits.
- To process subscription payments via Stripe (Pro plan).
- To respond to support requests sent to support@groundme.dev.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-party services
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We pass your email to Stripe when you upgrade. Stripe's privacy policy applies to billing data.
- Weather & location providers — your location query string is forwarded to resolve weather and timezone data. No account data is sent.
4. Data retention
Your account data is retained until you request deletion. To delete your account, email support@groundme.dev and we will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
5. Cookies
We do not use cookies or tracking pixels on groundme.dev. No analytics scripts are loaded.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored using a secure one-way hash. API keys are randomly generated and unique to your account.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@groundme.dev.
