Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the groundme.dev API, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The service
groundme.dev provides an HTTP API that returns contextual data (local time, weather, season, public holidays) for a given location. The service is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to maintain uptime but do not guarantee availability.
3. Free tier
The free tier includes 100 API requests per calendar month at no charge. Free-tier limits are enforced server-side. We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits with reasonable notice.
4. Pro plan & billing
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $4/month via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
5. Acceptable use
You may not:
- Resell or sublicense API access without written permission.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access other users' data.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable law.
- Scrape, cache, or redistribute API responses in ways that substitute for or compete with the service.
6. API keys
Your API key is your credential. You are responsible for keeping it secret. Do not commit API keys to public repositories. If your key is compromised, regenerate it immediately from the dashboard.
7. Data & privacy
Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The groundme.dev name, logo, and source code are proprietary. The API response data (weather, holidays, timezone information) is sourced from third-party providers and is provided for use within your applications subject to their respective licenses.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, groundme.dev and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Changes to terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
